Our Garden- Science Class at Home
Soil, Water, Sun, and fresh air. These things help a garden grow. We started a garden in our yard. Dad made a garden box for us. We put cardboard down first. Then dirt. We got a couple plants from the store and planted them. Mom showed me how to grow lettuce from lettuce we bought from the store. This is after 2 days. Have mom cut the romaine lettuce 2 inches from the bottom. Then put in a cup with a little water. Put the cup where it can get some sun. And check it each day. This is after 4 days. We planted seeds to grow lettuce. These seeds are coming up. I wonder what they are. Dad cut a soaker hose to water the garden. I think this is squash. I planted a watermelon seed and it is already coming up. We started planting in this box.
